1) The issues involved in all these cases are part of the reference made by a Division Bench of this Court ( where one of us, i.e. Sarang V. Kotwal, J was a party ) to a larger Bench in a batch of Petitions in the case of Vicky Bharat Kalyani Vs. State of Maharashtra & Anr, in Criminal Writ Petition (St.) No.24338 of 2024 and other connected Petitions.

2) Today, we have heard Mr. Milind M. Sathe, learned Advocate General at length. Though, he argued that subsequent to this reference, there were Supreme Court judgments covering the issues, but even then he submitted that judicial propriety requires that this batch of Petitions also be tagged with said Writ Petition (St.) No.24338 of 2024 and other matters. He submitted that any view which is likely to be taken in the present batch of Petitions, would affect the Petitions pending before the Full Bench. He submitted that the parties in those Petitions should get a chance to argue their cases. 7/8

3) To this submission of the learned Advocate General, all the other Counsel, appearing for the other side, i.e. for the original Petitioners, have agreed and all of them unanimously, have submitted that this batch of Petitions be tagged with the earlier batch of Petitions in Vicky Bharat Kalyani Vs. State of Maharashtra & Anr, in Criminal Writ Petition (St.) No.24338 of 2024 and other connected Petitions. 4) Considering these submissions, with which we also agree, the Office is directed to tag this batch of Petitions with Criminal Writ Petition (St.) No.24338 of 2024 and other connected Petitions for consideration, before the Full Bench.
