The petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- "a) Issue a writ of Mandamus to Respondent No. 2 directing them to provide immediate police protection to the Petitioner; b) Issue a writ of Mandamus to Respondent No. 2 & 3 directing an independent and thorough investigation into the extortion call received from jail premises, and to fix responsibility on officials allowing such illegal communication;
c) Direct the Respondent No. 3 and 4 to submit a status report on the action taken in respect of the FIR lodged by the Petitioner; d) Direct Respondent No. 4 to transfer the Investigation to Crime Branch since the offence is very serious in nature;" 2.
Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the writ petition has now been rendered infructuous.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 6260 of 2025 is dismissed as infructuous.
