Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners. 2.

The challenge in this petition is to an order dated 12th November, 2024 passed by the Maintenance Tribunal under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 ("the Act, 2007").

In view of the decision of the Division Bench of this Court in the case of Jagdish Pitambar Pawar vs. Pitambar Pundalik Pawar1, an appeal, at the instance of the children, is also maintainable before the Appellate Authority under Section 16 of the Act, 2007.

Keeping the liberty to file such an appeal before the Appellate Authority, the petition stands disposed. 5.

The time spent by the petitioners in prosecuting this petition may be accounted for under Section 14 of the Limitation Act, in the event the question of limitation, for filing the appeal, arises.
