Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner. 2.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks expeditious hearing of Sessions Case No.39 of 2025.

The petitioner is seeking a direction for expeditious hearing of Sessions Case No.39 of 2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 376, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, arising out of CR No.400 of 2024. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is also arraigned in Police Case No.W/2401399 of 2021, wherein the petitioner has been enlarged on bail.

Having regard to the fact that Sessions Case No.39 of 2025 arises out of CR No.400/2024, at this stage, no directions for expeditious hearing can be given.

However, since the petitioner is an under-trial prisoner in Sessions Case No.39 of 2025, the learned Additional Sessions Judge seized with Sessions Case No.39 of 2025, is requested to make an endeavour to hear and decide the said Sessions Case, under the category of under-trial prisoners, as expeditiously as possible.
