By this petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to the learned Trial Court to expeditiously hear and dispose of the criminal complaint filed by him under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.

It is contention of learned counsel for the petitioner that the criminal complaint has been pending since 2015 and is presently at the stage of evidence, but there is no progress in the proceedings before the trial court, and requested to allow the petition. 3.

Learned APP submits that appropriate orders be passed. 4.

O R D E R

(i) The petition is allowed.

(ii) Learned Magistrate, 14th Court, Girgaon, Mumbai, is directed to decide the Criminal Complaint No.SS/1402109/2015 filed by the petitioner as early as possible and preferably within eight months from the receipt of this order.
