Heard learned Advocate for the Appellant/father of the deceased. 2.

The Respondent-accused is acquitted by the Court of the Additional Sessions Judge, Pune as per the judgment dated 16.11.2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 306 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. With assistance, I have read the judgment. The acquittal is based primarily on the following reasons:- (i) The deceased was residing with her parents eight months Seema 1/2

14 Apeal-114-2025.doc prior the date of suicide and there are no immediate incidents of harassment. (para no. 39) (ii) The chit was seized however learned judge opined it does not content the allegations of the harassment.(para no. 32) (iii) The nexus in between the harassment and suicide is not proved. (para no. 39) 3.
