There is an alternate and efficacious remedy available under Rule 16 of the Maharashtra (Bombay Furlough & Parole) Rules, 2024, by which the petitioner is entitled to prefer an appeal.

We permit the petitioner file an appeal under the said Rules, within 15 days from today. If the appeal is so filed, the same shall be decided within stipulated period i.e. 30 days from the date of presentation of the appeal.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
