CORAM : ANIL L. PANSARE AND NIVEDITA P. MEHTA, JJ.
JANUARY 8, 2026 The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been beaten by respondent nos. 3 and 4 - Police Officers. By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks directions to respondent no.2 - Superintendent of Police (Rural), Amravati, to take action against respondent nos. 3 and 4. The reason behind such a prayer is that the petitioner has substantiated his claim by filing CCTV footage, which allegedly indicates that respondent nos. 3 and 4 have beaten him. Despite such status, respondent no.2 has not filed affidavit on record as to what steps were taken.
2] We call upon respondent no.2 to show cause as to why action should not be taken against him for taking Court proceedings so lightly.
3] List in the week commencing from 19/1/2026.
