The learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, submits that he wanted to withdraw the petition with liberty to avail alternative remedy provided under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. Further, he submitted that the Authority may be directed to decide his appeal within stipulated period.

Permission is granted. The petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.

We direct the learned Divisional Commissioner to decide the appeal within two months from the date of presentation of the appeal.
