The present application has been filed by the applicants, who are the legal heirs of the original appellant, against whom the learned Additional Sessions Judge and Special Judge, Gadchiroli, passed a judgment of conviction in Special A.C.B. Case No. 2 of 2011. By the said judgment, the appellant was convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of 10,000/-, and in default of ₹ payment of fine, to further suffer simple imprisonment for three months.

During the pendency of the appeal, the appellant expired on 10.03.2025. The present applicants-Applicant No. 1-A being the wife, and Applicant Nos. 1-B and 1-C being the son and

2 1-appa-351-25.odt daughter of the deceased appellant have expressed their desire to continue with the pending appeal. Accordingly, they have filed the present application seeking leave to be substituted as the legal representatives of the deceased appellant and to prosecute the appeal further.

In view of the averments made in the application and the submissions advanced, the application is allowed. The applicants are permitted to be brought on record as the legal representatives of the deceased appellant. Necessary amendment in the cause title be carried out within a period of two weeks from today.
