The present application is filed for condonation of delay of 258 days in preferring an appeal against conviction. 2.

The contents of the application would show that the impugned order was rendered on 20/03/2024, thereafter, the applicant applied for certified copies. Further, in paragraph 4 of the application, it is stated that he has sought the services of alternate counsel, however, it could not be materialized. Consequently, he has engaged another counsel, and due to this, some time has elapsed. It is further stated that it has taken some time in the procurement of documents and therefore there is delay of 258 days in preferring the present appeal. 3.

We have heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P.

The learned A.P.P. has resisted the application. 5.

Considering the fact that the appeal is against conviction and there are sufficient reasons, which are

Registry is directed to register the appeal.
