JULY 28, 2025 By present application, the applicant, who is in jail, is seeking to condone delay of 30 days in filing the appeal. He has been convicted under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and is sentenced to undergo life imprisonment.

2] The ground put forth by the applicant for condoning the delay is that she was not aware about filing of appeal within statutory period. Another ground put forth by the applicant is that her husband has also filed an appeal before this Court along with an application for condonation of delay, which application was allowed by this Court.

3] In view of above and for the reasons set out in the application, so also considering the fact that the delay occurred is trivial, the same is allowed, as prayed for. Delay of 30 days in filing the appeal stands condoned. Appeal and the application seeking suspension of sentence and grant of bail, be registered and processed as per Rules.
