The learned Counsel appearing for the applicant submits that the applicant is confining his request solely to seeking an expeditious disposal of the pending trial. It is submitted that the applicant is the rightful owner of the property that is the subject matter of C.R. No. 113 of 2018, registered with the Sewree Police Station, Mumbai. Furthermore, the applicant has been cited as a witness in the criminal proceedings arising out __________________________________________________ 28 April 2025
sg 55.apl482-25.docx of the said matter, bearing Criminal Case No.PW/964 /2018, which is currently pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 62nd Court, Bhoiwada, Dadar, Mumbai. 4.
The learned Counsel further points out that the applicant's property was seized as far back as 2018, and that a charge-sheet was also filed in the same year. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, even the charges have not yet been framed. Considering the prolonged pendency of the case and the resultant prejudice caused to the applicant, the learned trial Court is requested to expedite the hearing of the case. 5.
