The parties are related to each other. The FIR is lodged by the Respondent No.2 Kishwar Shabbir. She is mother-in-law of the Applicant Anjum in Criminal Application No.628 of 2025. The Petitioners in the other Petition are the mother and brotherin-law of Anjum. The FIR is lodged by Kishwar. The first informant Kishwar has stated in her FIR dated 30/06/2024 that Anjum got married with the informant's son Junaid on 17/11/2023. The behaviour of Anjum was never peaceful. She used to pick up quarrel and used to threaten the informant's
3 / 4 family. On 21/05/2024, Anjum picked up quarrel with the informant's son Junaid. According to the Respondent No.2 Anjum herself tore her own clothes and called the police. The police came to their house. They were followed by the Petitioners Meena and Adil. There are allegations that all the three accused assaulted and uttered words which attracted sections lodged in this case. On this basis the FIR was lodged. 5.
The charge-sheet contains statements of the informant's son and Anjum's husband Junaid, who has supported the allegations in the FIR.
6.
Now the parties have arrived at the settlement. The Respondent No.2 Kishwar in both these matters has filed a common affidavit. She has stated in her affidavit that the dispute is amicably settled and that she has no objection for quashing of these proceedings. The informant Kishwar is present in the Court. She is identified by her learned counsel. She reiterated the contents of her affidavit before the Court. She has stated that she has no objection for quashing of these proceedings.
4 / 4 7.
Considering that the matter is settled between the parties, who were related to each other and since the Respondent No.2 has given her no objection to quash these proceedings, no purpose will be served in continuation of the prosecution. Therefore, we are inclined to allow these matters. 8.
