1.
In these applications, the common ground being taken for seeking relief of bail is long period of incarceration suffered by the applicants, as they were arrested on 01st July, 201,7 and there being little possibility of the trial being completed within a reasonable period of time. 2.
Reference is made to a recent order dated 10th December, 2024, passed in the case of Surekha Gorakshanath Gavle @ Surekha Prasad Kakad Shrikant Malani
908.BA.19.2025.doc Vs. The State of Maharashtra i.e. a co-accused person (Bail Application No.4904 of 2024), wherein this Court granted relief of bail only on the aforesaid ground.
3.
Today, the learned APP submits that 32 witnesses are already examined and that only a few more witnesses are proposed to be examined by the prosecution in the present case.
4.
It would be appropriate that affidavit of a responsible officer is filed on behalf of the respondent - State to give details to this Court as to how many further witnesses the prosecution intends to examine and whether the trial can be completed in the extended period of time i.e. by November, 2025. 5.
The affidavit be filed within two weeks from today. 6.
List both the applications for further consideration on 03rd March, 2025, "High on Board."
