1) The present Bail Application is filed by the Applicant seeking bail in NDPS SPL Case No.1495 of 2021, vide C.R. No.52 of 2021, registered with ANC, Kandivali Unit for the alleged offences, punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 22(c) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

2) After the matter was argued for some time, and when this Court was not inclined to the grant bail application, Mr. Kamlesh Satre, learned Counsel for the Applicant states that; in the light of the fact that out of 12 witnesses, two witnesses are already over, he would withdraw the Bail RvC 1/2

Learned Counsel for the Applicant seeks to expedite the trial, which is pending before the Special Court. 3) In the light of the fact that the Applicant is already in jail for more than four years, I deem it appropriate to direct the learned Special Court to complete the trial within a period of six months from today. 4) Liberty is granted to the Applicant to revive his prayer for bail, in the event the trial is not completed within a period of six months from today.

5) In the light of the aforesaid observations, the Bail Application is disposed of as withdrawn.
