2.

By this application, the applicant seeks bail in connection

with CR No.175 of 2024, registered at Hinjewadi Police Station, Pune City, for the offences punishable under Sections 489 (A), (B), (C), (D) read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

Upon careful consideration of the record, it prima facie appears that the alleged counterfeit currency was seized by the Investigating Agency from the possession of accused No.1. The specific role attributed to the present applicant is limited to the extent that, at the relevant point of time, the applicant, along one Amar Gaikwad, was traveling as a pillion rider on the said motor cycle driven by accused No.1. There is no material on record to suggest that the applicant had knowledge of, or was in any manner connected with, the counterfeit currency notes allegedly found in possession of accused No.1. No recovery has been effected from the applicant. Moreover, the applicant has an otherwise clean record and does not have any criminal antecedents. The co-accused has already been enlarged on bail. 4.

In view of the foregoing circumstances, this Court is satisfied that the applicant has made out a case for grant of bail. Hence, the following order:

ORDER

(i) The applicant shall be released on bail in CR

No.175 of 2024, registered at Hinjewadi Police Station, Pune, on executing a PR Bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

(ii) The applicant, himself or through any other person, shall not tamper with the evidence and exert influence over witnesses.

(iii)The applicant shall regularly attend and cooperate with the jurisdictional Court for the expeditious disposal of the case.

5.

The application stands disposed of accordingly. (R.N. Laddha, J.)
