Mr. Saket Ketkar, learned Special Public Prosecutor, appearing for the Respondent No.2-DRI, has tendered a copy of the Supreme Court order dated 12th September 2025 passed in Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No.10451 of 2025, challenged by the Union of India assailing the order granting bail to the co-accused.

According to the said order, the Union of India has not taken steps to serve that accused.

Mr. Ketkar submits that the matter is likely to be heard on 7th October 2025 by the Supreme Court.

Ms Kaushalya Patil, learned counsel for the Applicant, submits that the Applicant is in custody for 2 years and 7 months and has a better case than that of the co-accused, who is enlarged on bail, as on date.

Considering the fact that the matter is likely to be taken up by the Supreme Court on 7th October 2025, as an opportunity for the Respondent-UOI, to rely upon any orders passed by the Supreme Court, stand over to 9th October 2025. 6.

In case, the Special Leave to Appeal filed by the Respondent-UOI, before the Supreme Court, is not heard even on the next date, the present Bail Application will proceed on its own merits.
