Applicant in the present case is incarcerated for more than 9 years. Trial has commenced and only 3 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution till date. Additionally, trial was directed to be expedited in 2018. Considering the long incarceration of the Applicant, I am inclined to take up this matter for hearing. 3.

Ms. Bajoria, learned APP would persuade me to allow her to take instructions from the Investigating Officer on the precise status of the trial. Time is granted.
