The Applicant is arrested in Crime Registration No.287 of 2024 registered with Sangli City Police Station, Sangli for the offences punishable under Sections 489A, 489B, 489C, 489D and 489C of the Indian Penal Code.

It is the case of prosecution that the Applicant was found in possession with counterfeit currency notes. The raid was conducted and in the house search also, the counterfeit currency notes were found.

The counsel for Applicant has stated that as per the report of Gaikwad RD 1/2

45-ba-733-2025.doc the Reserve Bank Currency Notes Press, Nashik Road, the samples were not matched with the currency notes and therefore, prayed to release the Applicant on bail.

The learned APP opposed the application stating that this is not a case to release the applicant on bail as the trap was conducted and he was found in possession of the counterfeit currency notes. Hence, prayed to reject the application.

Heard learned counsel appearing for both the parties. 6.

After receiving the secret information a trap was conducted and the Applicant was found in possession of the counterfeit currency notes in huge quantity. In his house also, it was found that he was printing said counterfeit currency notes. Considering the allegations made against him and as he was found in possession of the counterfeit currency notes, this is not a fit case to release the Applicant on bail.

Hence, the Application is rejected.
