Heard Mr. Bhalerao, learned Advocate for Applicant and Mr. Karmakar, learned APP for Respondent.

Considering the long incarceration of Applicant since 2020 since date of arrest which is on 17.02.2020, the present Application desires immediate consideration. Applicant is indicted for offences punishable under Sections 302, 307, 143, 147, 148, 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860; Sections 37(1) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 and Sections 4 and 25 of the Indian Arms Act, 1959. 3.

The trial has not yet commenced as informed by Mr. Bhalerao and as stated in the charge-sheet prosecution would be desiring to examine probably 34 witnesses.
