Heard Mr. Dwivedi, learned Advocate for Applicant and Mr. Haldankar, learned APP for State.

Applicant - accused has filed the present Application for regular bail in connection with Crime No. 55 of 2020 registered with Trombay Police Station for the offence under Sections 302, 307, 323, 506 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and under Section 37(1) (a) of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951.

At the outset, Mr. Haldankar, learned APP would persuade the court to consider the fact that trial has commenced and 14 witnesses have already been examined. He would submit that out of probable witnesses only 3 more witnesses are yet to be examined and
11_BA_1133_2025.docx on instructions he would persuade the Court to allow the prosecution to complete the trial in a time bound manner. He has informed the Court that matter is being heard on week to week basis before the trial Court as per the instructions given to him.

In that view of the matter, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of three (3) months from today positively.

Needless to state that considering the long incarceration of Applicant he is at liberty to move the Court in case the trial is not completed as directed aforesaid.

Mr. Dwivedi, learned Advocate for Applicant has pointed out to the Court that as per the previous order of rejection of Bail dated 20.06.2023 which is appended at page No.249 of the Application this Court had granted direction for expeditious disposal of the trial within a period of one year. Since that period of one year has not been completed the aforesaid directions are passed. 7.
