Heard Ms. Deepa Punjani, learned Advocate for the Applicant. She submits that the alleged offence against the Applicant carries a maximum punishment of 10 years. She submits that the Applicant is incarcerated since 24th July 2018, i.e., for a period of 6 years and 11 months as on date. She therefore submits that there is an urgency in the matter.
