After arguing the matter for quite some time, when the attention of the learned counsel for the Applicant was invited to an order dated 18th October, 2024, wherein he had withdrawn the Application, learned counsel for the Applicant submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this Application as well. He however, states that directions be given to the Special Court to 1/2

I am informed by the learned APP that the charges are already framed on 24th January, 2024 and that they will endeavor to commence with the trial at the earliest. The Applicant is behind bar since 10th July, 2019, hence the Special Court is requested to decide the trial as expeditiously as possible. In the event the Prosecution does not proceed with the examination of the witnesses within three months from today, liberty is granted to the Applicant to reapply for bail in this Court.
