In the morning session, the advocate who was earlier appointed to represent respondent No.2, the victim, failed to appear before this Court. When the matter was taken up again in the afternoon session, she appeared through video conferencing and submitted that she was under a bona fide impression that the matter was listed on 24th July 2025. However, this contention cannot be accepted. The cause list was published and made available on Saturday, which clearly mentioned that the present matter was scheduled to be heard on 21st July 2025. Hence, the reason stated for non-appearance is not satisfactory and does not inspire confidence.

Considering the absence of effective representation for respondent No.2, victim, and in order to ensure that her cause is properly represented before this Court, Ms. Priyanka B. Chavan, Advocate (Contact No. 73037 13388), is hereby appointed through Legal Aid to represent respondent No.2, victim, in place of the previously appointed advocate.

The Legal Aid department is directed to give her appointment letter to that effect.

The applicant is directed to immediately provide a complete set of the bail application, along with all relevant annexures and documents, to the newly appointed Legal Aid Advocate so that she may effectively prepare and assist the Court on the next date of hearing.
