Heard Mr. Kamble, learned Advocate for Applicant and Ms. Gajare - Dhumal, learned APP for Respondent.

Facts in the present case are extremely unfortunate. Applicant before me is father of the victim. There are two accused persons in the present crime. Other co-accused person is Applicant's wife and mother of the victim. She is already enlarged on bail. 3.

Applicant is incarcerated for past more than 3 years in prison. It is case of the prosecution that during the COVID-19 Pandemic period Applicant and wife, as also his daughter consumed poison / intoxicating substance resulting in death of daughter. 4.

Applicant, as also his wife were unconscious but they survived. The previous Bail Application of Applicant was filed in this

23.BA.1463.2025.doc Court but by order dated 19.01.2024 appended at page No.13 to the Application, the Court gave directions to the Trial Court to expedite the trial and also permitted Applicant to renew the Bail Application in case if no substantive progress was made in the trial. 5.

Mr. Kamble after drawing my attention to the said order would submit that the trial is at a standstill rather it has not progressed any further than the stage earlier. He would therefore persuade the Court to consider the facts in the present case and allow Application for grant of bail.

Learned APP appearing in the matter shall take appropriate instructions and apprise the Court about the status of trial on the next adjourned date when the present Application shall be heard and decided by the Court.
