By the order dated 20th February, 2024, the Trial Court was directed to frame charges within a period of two weeks from the date of that order and was directed to commence the trial.

The Trial Court was also directed to make an endeavor to conclude the trial within a year from the date of review of the charges. Today, Mr. Vikas Chavan, learned Counsel 8th December 2025

P. V. Tiwari 20-ba-1624-2025.doc appearing for the Applicant submits that the trial has commenced, however, only one witness has been examined. The prosecution intends to examine as many as 21 witnesses. The Applicant is in custody since 21st August, 2019. 3.

Considering the order dated 20th February, 2024, the Registrar Judicial-I is requested to call for a report from the concerned Trial Court regarding the status and the trial and also for a report as to when the trial is likely to conclude. Ms. Bhosale, learned APP submits that the Applicant is a Nigerian national and her passport has also expired while she was in custody. In these circumstances, the report be called for from the Trial Court within a period of seven days. 4.

List the Matter on 23rd December, 2025.
