Heard Mr. Sawalkar, learned Advocate for Applicant in both Bail Applications; Mr. Dedhia, learned APP for Respondent in Bail Application No.1667 of 2025 and Mr. Pethe, learned APP for Respondent in Bail Application No.1673 of 2025. 2.

Applicants in both aforesaid Applications are in incarceration for humongous period 6 years 10 months pending trial. Trial has commenced and 8 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution out of the intended 51 witnesses as stated by them in the charge-sheet.

In Bail Application No.1667 of 2025, Applicant happens to be husband of Applicant in Bail Application No.1673 of 2025. Considering the aforesaid ground of long incarceration, learned APP appearing in the matter shall take appropriate instructions on the veracity of submissions made by learned Advocate for Applicant and status of trial and accordingly apprise the Court to enable this Court to consider the Bail Application as this Court is inclined to hear and dispose both Applications on the next adjourned date after hearing the prosecution.

It is seen that by order appended at page No.399 of Bail Application No.1673 of 2025 in Bail Application No.3926 of 2021, this Court had directed the trial to be completed within a period of one year from the date of that order. Considering the aforesaid situation both Applications are directed to be listed on 28th April, 2025. To be placed under the caption 'First on Board'.
