After hearing the matter for some time, when I was not inclined to grant relief, Mr. Pramod Kumbhar, learned Counsel for the Applicant, sought permission to withdraw the present bail application.

Mr. Sumedh Modak, learned Counsel for Respondent No.2, submits that the mother of the victim is not inclined to continue the prosecution. Be that as it may, the victim was 29th September 2025

17-BA-1937-2025.DOC only 14 years of age at the time of the incident and the Applicant was 28 years of age at that time. Considering the dominant influence that the Applicant may have exercised over the victim, I indicated to the Counsel for the Applicant my inclination not to grant relief in the present bail application. In these circumstances, he sought permission to withdraw the bail application.

Permission to withdraw is granted.

The Trial Court is directed to frame charges within the next six months and expedite the trial at the earliest. (Dr. Neela Gokhale, J) 29th September 2025
