The offences alleged against the applicant fall under the provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Therefore, the appropriate remedy for the applicant lies under Section 14A of the said Act. Accordingly, keeping all questions raised in the application open to be agitated in appeal, the application stands disposed of with liberty to file an appeal.
