During the course of hearing when this Court has shown disinclination to grant relief to the Applicant at this stage, Learned Counsel for the Applicant seeks direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial. On instructions, he makes statement that there are three eye witnesses to the alleged incident, out of which PW1 is under cross-examination. It is his submission that in such circumstances Trial Court be directed to complete the trial within stipulated period.

This Court is informed that there would be twenty four witnesses to be examined by the prosecution as per the list provided to the Trial Court. For examination of the number of witnesses reasonable time is required to be given to the Trial Court. Owing to the over all pendency, it would be appropriate to direct the Trial Court to complete the trial within a period of 6th April, 2026

30-BA-2720-2025.ODT nine months from today. In case trial does not get over within this time, liberty is granted to Applicant to revive the request for bail.

In view of the aforestated terms, application stands disposed of.
