At the outset, Ms. Anuja Gotad, learned APP, on instructions, states that the trial has commenced and the chief-examination of the PW-1/Complainant is concluded. The Complainant is presently under cross-examination. She also states that there are only four witnesses intended to be examined by the prosecution.

In view of the statement made by Ms. Gotad, Mr. M. D. Mali, learned counsel for the Applicant, seeks permission to withdraw the present Bail Application.

Considering that the trial is already commenced and examination of one witness is almost complete, the Trial Court is requested to expedite the trial.
