In order dated 3rd April, 2025, passed in Criminal Bail Application No.1381 of 2024 pertaining to the same CR on a submission made by learned counsel it was recorded that the family of the Applicant are making an attempt to obtain a fresh passport for the Applicant. Since the Applicant is a foreign national a condition was imposed on him to deposit his passport on his release in the previous CR. 5th January 2026

Ms. Achari, learned counsel for the Applicant, submits that the Applicant had in fact deposited his passport with the Police and was released on bail in the previous CR. However, now the Police are claiming that they do not have custody of his passport. In these circumstances, the Applicant is constrained to apply for a fresh passport from the appropriate authorities.

Ms. Achari seeks time to take instructions in respect of the status of the passport from Applicant's family. 4.
