Heard Mr. Vishwatej Jadhav, learned Advocate for the Applicant. He submits that the offences charged against the Applicant are under Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Sections 74 & 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. He submits that the maximum punishment, if convicted in the said offences, would be of 3 years. He submits that the Applicant was arrested on 14th January 2025 and he is in jail for a continuous period of almost 7 months. 2.
