By this application, the applicant seeks bail in Crime No. 261 of 2024 registered with Satara Taluka Police Station, District IRESH MASHAL Satara for the offence punishable under Sections 302, 323, 109, 504, by IRESH MASHAL Date:

2026.01.08 19:46:40 +0530 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Prosecution case is that Anil Shinde (deceased) lodged F.I.R. in short alleging that on 11th June 2024, he received phone call from his wife that accused Shivjeet Mane and his three unknown companions came to his house and they were giving threats and kicking the door. He immediately rushed to the house. While he was parking his motorcycle infront of his house, accused persons rushed towards him and assaulted by kick and fist blows. Shivjeet said that, if his son does not give apology, then he will not leave him and his

son's life and he will kill them. The companions of Shivjeet said that, they will kill him right now. Shivjeet brought petrol can from his four wheeler. His companions caught hold the deceased. Shivjeet poured petrol on the person of the deceased and then he was made to fall down and Shivjeet set him ablaze by igniting match stick. The deceased raised hue and cry. Then, his wife and neighbours came there to rescue him. At that time, accused persons assaulted the witness and ran away. Initially, the offence was registered under Section 307, 323, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The deceased expired on 13th June 2024. Hence, charge under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code was added.

The applicant is father of Shivjeet Mane. In the chargesheet, there are allegations of instigation attributed to the applicant. He has not participated in the actual incident of setting the deceased ablaze. 4.

Except one crime registered against the applicant under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code in the year 2013, there are no other criminal antecedents of the applicant. Chargesheet is filed in the mater and the case is numbered as Sessions Case No. 7 of 2025. Charge is yet not framed. The trial is likely to take time and will not be concluded in the near future. In these circumstances, pre-trial custodial interrogation of the applicant by way of punishment is not warranted.

In the result, the application is allowed. The applicant Ranjit Alias Dadaso Balkrushna Mane be released on bail in connection with Crime No. 261 of 2024 registered with Satara Taluka Police Station, District Satara for the offence punishable under Sections 302, 323, 109, 504, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code on furnishing Personal Bond in the sum of Rs. 15,000/- with one surety in the like amount. The applicant shall not enter into village Patkhal District Satara.

The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence.
