By order dated 19th November 2025, Ms. Manisha Tidke, learned APP, was requested to call for a report from Sir J. J. Hospital regarding health status of the Applicant as on date. 2.

Today, Ms. Anamika Malhotra, learned APP, has placed the report of the Thane Central Prison as well as the doctors at Sir J. J. Hospital. The same is taken on record. The authorities of Sir J. J. Hospital, by their report dated 27th November 2025, have advised medicine and a neurology

opinion in view of the fact that the Applicant is unable to stand on his feet and is not able to understand commands. 3.

Mr. Tanay Mandot, learned counsel for the Applicant, has also drawn my attention to point No. 11 in the prisoner's medical report of the Superintendent, Thane Central Prison, which reveals that the facility of a psychiatric ward and a prison psychiatrist is not available in Thane Central Prison. In view of this and considering the reports of Sir J. J. Hospital it is necessary for the Applicant to be evaluated by a psychiatrist and treated accordingly.

In view of this, let the Applicant be admitted in the Sir J. J. Hospital for a complete health evaluation and a report be submitted to this Court in a period of 15 days from today. 5.

The authorities of Sir J. J. Hospital shall have complete discretion in respect of the period for which the Applicant needs to be admitted. In the event the medical authorities are of the opinion that he needs to be kept in the hospital for a

longer period, the decision shall be entirely that of the medical authorities. Similarly, if the authorities are of the view that he does not require hospitalization, the authorities are at liberty to act accordingly.
