By this Application, Applicant is seeking regular bail in Crime No.201 of 2025 registered with Nigadi Police Station, Pune, for the offences punishable under Sections 304(2), 309(6), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ('BNS' for short).

It is prosecution's case that, on 19th June 2025 when First Informant had gone to take darshan of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi, taking undue advantage of huge crowd, the Applicant snatched Mangalsutra of the First Informant.

It is contention of the learned counsel for the Applicant, the Applicant is behind bar for more than 7 months. Investigation is completed and charge-sheet has been filed. Police arrested nine Accused person in connection with present crime, out of which eight have been released on bail. There is no progress in the trial and requested to allow the Application. 4.
It is contention of learned APP that, the Applicant has antecedents. While snatching chain, the First Informant suffered injuries. If Applicant is released on bail, he may abscond or threaten First Informant and prosecution witnesses, and requested to reject the Application. 5.
I have heard both learned counsel. Perused charge-sheet and documents produced on record.

The Applicant is behind bar for more than seven months. The other co-accused have been released on bail. Investigation is completed and charge-sheet has been filed. There is no progress in the trial. It may take time to conclude the trial.

Considering these facts, I pass following order.
ORDER
(i) The Applicant-Vilas Narayan Pawar be released on bail in Crime No.201 of 2025 registered with Nigadi Police
Station, Pune, on furnishing PR bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount.
(ii) The Applicant shall not enter in the jurisdiction of the Nigdi Police Station till recording of the evidence of the First Informant except attending Court dates.
(iii) The Applicant shall not tamper with the evidence and/or influence the prosecution witnesses.
(iv) The Trial Court shall decide the case on its own merits and in accordance with law, uninfluenced by the observations made in this order.
