Drawing the attention of this Court to the order dated 23 July 2024 passed in Anticipatory Bail Application No.230 of 2024, the learned Counsel for the applicant submits that, in the said pre-arrest bail proceedings, the Investigating Officer had made a categorical statement before this Court that the applicant had duly attended the concerned police station and had cooperated with the investigation. It was further disclosed during the investigation that the information furnished by the applicant was found to be correct and that the applicant was not a beneficiary of, nor in any manner connected with, the alleged offence. Moreover, the Investigating Officer had expressly stated that he did not seek to arrest the applicant __________________________________________________ 12 August 2025

It is submitted that the statement of the Investigating Officer was duly recorded by this Court, and, in view of such statement, the said anticipatory bail application was disposed of as 'not pressed'. However, the learned Counsel for the applicant contends that, the applicant was served with a notice dated 7 January 2025 issued by the IO, directing the applicant to remain present at the office of the investigating agency.

At this stage, the learned APP seeks time to obtain instructions in the matter, as the Investigating Officer is not present. At the request of the learned APP, stand over to 8 September 2025.
