The Applicant in Anticipatory Bail Application No.2232 of 2025 is Accused No.3 and the Applicants in Anticipatory Bail Application No.1007 of 2025 are Accused No.1 and 2. The Accused No.1 is the husband of the Deceased and the Accused No.2 and 3 are the in-laws of the Deceased.

By these Applications filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ("BNSS") the Applicants are seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with CR No.229 of 2025 registered with the Yavat Police Station, District- Pune Rural on 04th March 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 85, 115(2), 352, 351(2), 3(5), 74, 75 and 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ("BNS").

As per the prosecution case, the marriage between the Applicant -Mayur Macchindra Jedhe (Accused No.1) and the deceased took place on 26th February 2021 and thereafter, deceased was subjected to continuous harassment by the husband and in-laws. As per the prosecution case, the deceased was subjected to mental and physical abuse, taunts about the financial condition of the family of the deceased etc. It is the further case of the prosecution that the Applicant -Macchindra Jedhe (Accused
No.3) i.e. Father-in-Law of the Deceased had been making inappropriate advances towards deceased, using vulgar language and attempting to touch her body in inappropriate manner. 5.
It is the submission of Mr. Deshmukh, learned Counsel appearing for the Applicants that the Applicants are not involved in the crime. He submits that the incident in question took place on 11th February 2025, the deceased died by suicide on 13th February 2025 and the FIR has been registered after about 20 days on 04th March 2025. He further submits that the Applicants have no antecedents and they are cooperating with the investigation. 6.
On the other hand, Ms. Yadav, learned APP and Mr. Shinde, learned Counsel appointed to represent the interest of the Respondent No.2, strongly oppose the Anticipatory Bail Application. Both of them submit that due to the harassment by the Applicant she died by suicide. Both of them further submit that the Applicant - Machhindra Gulabrao Jedhe i.e. father in-law of the deceased used to sexually assault the deceased and therefore, the incident has taken place. Both of them submitted that the Applicant -Macchindra Gulabrao Jedhe i.e. Accused No.3 is
absconding. Both of them therefore, submit that Anticipatory Bail Applications be rejected.

Ms. Yadav, learned APP, on instructions, submitted that the Applicants have no antecedents. She further submits that the investigation is almost completed and chargesheet is ready and the same will be filed shortly.

Perusal of the record shows that the offence is very serious. However, it is required to be noted that the incident of suicide took place 11th February 2025, the deceased passed away on 13th February 2025 and the FIR has been registered after about more than 20 days i.e. on 04th March 2025. Learned APP submits that the chargesheet is ready and will be filed shortly. Learned Counsel appearing for the Applicants submits that the Applicants will coopeerate with the investigation. Accordingly, by imposing certain condntions the Anticipatory Bail can be granted. 9.
In view thereof, the following order is passed:
O R D E R
(a) In the event of arrest of the Applicant No. -
Macchindra Gulabrao Jedhe (ABA/2232/2025) and Applicant No.1 -Mayur Macchindra Jedhe and Applicant No.2 -Mandakini Macchindra Jedhe (ABA/1007/2025) in connection with C.R. No.229 of 2025 registered with the Yavat Police Station, DistrictPune Rural the Applicants are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount.
(b) The Applicants shall attend the concerned Police Station on 19th December 2025 and 20th December 2025 between 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. and shall cooperate with the investigation. In addition, the Applicants shall attend the concerned Police Station once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. till filing of the chargesheet. (c) The Applicants shall furnish their cell phone numbers and residential addresses to the Investigating Officer and shall keep the same updated, in case of any change thereto.
(d) The Applicants shall not directly or indirectly make
any inducement, threat, or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade such a person from disclosing the facts to the Court or to any Police personnel.
(e) The Applicants shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence and shall not contact or influence the Complainant or any witness in any manner.

The Anticipatory Bail Application is disposed of accordingly. 11.
This Court places on record its appreciation for the assistance rendered by Mr. Aditya Shinde, learned Counsel appointed to represent the interest of the Respondent No.2. The High Court Legal Service Authority is directed to pay his professional charges as per the Rules.
