He submits that, as per the contents of the FIR, the alleged monetary transactions took place in August 2024, yet the FIR came to be registered only in April 2025, after an unexplained and inordinate delay of approximately eight months. The learned Counsel submits that no satisfactory justification has been provided for this considerable delay in lodging the FIR, which casts serious __________________________________________________ 15 July 2025

Furthermore, it is pointed out that the sole allegation against the applicant is that he allegedly instigated the informant's mother-in-law to raise a dispute concerning a property matter that was already pending between the informant and the said mother-in-law. The learned Counsel submits that such an allegation, even if assumed to be true, does not prima facie disclose the commission of any cognizable offence by the applicant.

The learned Counsel for respondent No.2 seeks an adjournment and further seeks leave to annex the additional documents. Leave granted as prayed for. The learned APP also seeks time to take further instructions.

By consent, stand over to 13 August 2025. There shall not be any coercive action against the applicant in the present crime till the next date. In the meantime, the applicant shall attend the concerned police station on 21st , 22nd , 23rd and 24th July 2025 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., provide all the documents required by the investigating officer and cooperate with the investigation.
