The learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is a retired army personnel who is currently engaged in running an educational academy. He contends that the applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case and that a cross FIR has been filed against him with malicious intent. The applicant himself was subjected to a brutal physical assault at the hands of the informant and his associates. Furthermore, he submits that there has been inordinate and unexplained delay in the registration of the FIR, which casts serious doubt on the veracity of the allegations made against the applicant. Such delay, he argues indicates an attempt to fabricate a false narrative.
