This is an application for Anticipatory Bail. 2.

The applicant is apprehending his arrest in Crime No. 98 of 2024 registered at Vashi Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 & 120-B read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The first information report is lodged by Hero Finance Company alleging that the present applicant and other co-accused obtained a home loan to the tune of Rs.34,10,603/- by submitting 1/3

forged documents. During the course of investigation, it was found that the applicant and other co-accused had obtained loans from other banks, such as Union Bank of India, Canera Bank and Bank of Maharashtra, by submitting forged documents. 4.

I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the respondent-State.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant has nothing to do with the alleged crime. It is submitted that there are no other criminal antecedents against the applicant. It is submitted that the applicant is ready and willing to co-operate in the investigation.

On the other hand, the learned APP for the respondentState submits that the applicant is the beneficiary of Rs.34 lakhs out of the defrauded amount. It is submitted that considering the nature of crime, custodial interrogation of the applicant is necessary.

I have perused the papers of investigation. It appears 2/3

from the papers of investigation that the applicant is the beneficiary of Rs.34 lakhs. The said fact shows the involvement of the applicant in alleged crime. Considering the nature of crime, I am not inclined to release the applicant on anticipatory bail. The application is rejected.
