The learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the vehicle in question has already been seized by the investigating agency. The applicant purchased the said vehicle from one Yash More for valid consideration, and there are no allegations suggesting that the applicant procured the vehicle through deceit or misrepresentation. The learned Counsel also points out that a challan was issued against the said vehicle bearing registration number MH46-R-0597 in the year 2023, which clearly indicates that the number plate existed prior to the applicant's purchase, thereby ruling out any possibility of tampering or forgery on his part. The vehicle remains in the custody of the investigating agency. Moreover, the applicant __________________________________________________ 18 June 2025
Mamta Kale 19-aba-1509-2025.docx has cooperated with the investigation and has duly appeared before the concerned investigating officer pursuant to the notice issued under Section 207 of the M. V. Act. 2.
The learned APP seeks time to take instructions as the investigating officer is not present and assures the Court that the applicant will not be arrested in the present crime till the next date.
