The learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is the daughter-in-law of the informant. She was married to her husband in the year 2000 and has two children from the said marriage. He submits that the informant did not permit the children to meet their father, who is presently suffering from paralysis. The applicant has not withdrawn the alleged amount; rather, the funds were invested in various mutual funds and fixed deposits. The applicant is willing to cooperate with the investigation by furnishing all relevant investment details to the Investigating Officer and by appearing at the concerned police station. The learned APP seeks time to take instructions and assures the Court that the applicant shall not be arrested in connection with the present crime until the next date. In the meantime, the applicant shall report to the concerned police station, cooperate with the investigation, and surrender the mobile phone purportedly used in the commission of the offence.
