The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the applicants
submit that pursuant to the issuance of the tender, the work order was duly initiated and the execution of the project commenced accordingly. The concerned engineer from the Zilla Parishad visited the project site and conducted an on-site inspection and verification of the on-going work. Furthermore, an audit of the building was subsequently carried out as part of the routine procedural checks. The learned Counsel further submit that the present FIR dated 2 May 2025, pertains to financial transactions and activities that occurred during the period spanning from the financial year 2010 to 2015. The learned Counsel submit that the applicants have not derived any unlawful or wrongful gain from the said transactions. The applicants have acted in good faith and in accordance with the due process of law and applicable administrative procedures. 2.
The learned APP, however, seeks further time to take instructions and assures the Court that the applicants will not be arrested in the present crime till the next date, provided the applicants shall attend the concerned police station and cooperate with the investigation. Accordingly, the applicants are directed to attend the concerned police station on 21st , 22nd and 23rd July 2025 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and cooperate with the investigation by providing their all bank details as required by the investigating officer.
