The learned Counsel for the applicants submits that the names of the applicants do not appear in the FIR. The only allegation levelled against them is that they had purchased gold ornaments from co-accused/ accused No.1, Netaji Jadhav. It is further alleged that accused No.1 had committed theft of those gold ornaments. Pursuant to the registration of the FIR, the applicants were issued a notice u/s 179 of the BNSS. The issuance of such notice, according to the learned Counsel, indicates that the applicants were called for the purpose of recording their statements as Page No. 1 of 2 ____________________________________________ 14 July 2025

Chitra Sonawane 8-aba-1901-2025.doc witnesses and were not named as accused persons in the proceedings. The learned Counsel further states that the applicants are ready and willing to cooperate with the investigation.

The informant appears in person and seeks time to file an intervention application. The learned APP also seeks time to take further instructions.
