The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the applicants submits that the application preferred by the applicants under Section 482 of BNSS, seeking anticipatory bail, is presently pending consideration before the learned Sessions Court. It is further submitted that the said application has been pending since 14 August 2025, and on the very same date, the prayer for ad-interim protection was declined. The learned Counsel points out that the matter is now placed on the board for hearing tomorrow. 2.
Having regard to the fact that the anticipatory bail application is already seized of by the learned the Sessions Court, it is directed that the learned Sessions Court shall expedite the hearing of the said application and dispose of Page No. 2 of 3
Chitra Sonawane 902-aba-2324-2025.doc the same on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one week from today. 3.
In the meantime, and until such time the anticipatory bail application is finally decided by the learned Sessions Court, it is directed that no coercive action shall be taken against the applicants in connection with the present crime. 4.
It is clarified that this Court has not entered into or expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and that all contentions of the parties are expressly kept open. 5.
With the aforesaid directions, the present application stands disposed of.
