This is an application for quashing of FIR in connection with Crime No.364/2024 registered with the nonapplicant No.1 police station for offences under Sections 308(3) and 316(2) of the BNS.

During the pendency of the present application, both parties have arrived at a settlement and the Settlement Agreement is placed on record.

In view of the settlement agreement, out of Rs.17.00 lacs, amount of Rs.1,70,000/- by way of Demand Draft is already paid on 15.1.2026 drawn on Kotal Mahindra Bank, Sector-9, Chandigarh payable at Hoshiarpur.

It was agreed that for the rest of amount Rs.15,30,000/-, both parties have agreed to arrangement that first party will pay sum of Rs.7,65,000/-, which is already paid and the petition for seeking decree of dissolution of marriage is already filed, but the court has kept the matter after six months. So, some part of the consent agreement is yet to be performed. .....2/-

However, considering the settlement terms and both parties appearing through Video Conferencing agreed the terms and conditions of the settlement, the application deserves to be disposed of. Accordingly, the application is disposed of. 6.
