The Non-applicant No.2 father has lodged First Information Report ("FIR") saying that his daughter and son of applicant No.1 had eloped in the intervening night of 11 and 12 August, 2024 and while doing so, they have stolen jewelry and cash worth of Rs.11,70,000/-. 3.

FIR was lodged on 01.09.2024. Learned counsel for applicants submits that the couple was traced out prior to lodging FIR. According to him, on 12.08.2024, both the families filed missing report. On 14.08.2024, the couple got married. The daughter of non-applicant No.2 appeared before the Lonar Police Station and informed about her marriage. She also expressed apprehension of her father filing of frivolous report. The present FIR is lodged after intervening developments.

Learned counsel further submits that the daughter of non-applicant No.2 though appeared before

2 951 apl 106.25 the Police, she was never arrested nor was any recovery made from her, till date. Learned counsel for applicants further submits that the present FIR is nothing, but is an after thought.

Learned APP shall take instructions as regards the status of investigation and file report/reply. The Investigating Officer shall enlighten us on the facts of the correctness of allegations made by non-applicant No.2 of the alleged theft and also about the steps taken to recover the stolen jewelry and cash.
