This is an Application for extension of time to comply with the Order dated 7th October 2024 passed in the afore-noted Appeal. 2.

Bare perusal of Application indicates that, the Applicant was more interested in doing the work of State Assembly Elections between 1st October 2024 and 13th November 2024, however, had no time to comply with the Order dated 7th October 2024 passed by this Court. The Applicant is a responsible public servant and appointed as a Competent Authority, as 1/3

DDR 5. IA 771-25.doc contemplated under the provisions of Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act. The explanation offered by the Applicant for condonation of delay and for extension of time is not plausible.

Perusal of Application indicates that, no reasonable explanation least to say plausible explanation is offered by the Applicant for grant of extension to comply with the said Order.

Mr. Avhad, learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the Applicant, on instructions submitted that, for condonation of delay and extension of time to comply with the Order dated 7th October 2024 the Applicant will pay a cost of Rs.25,000/- to the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa's Advocate Academy & Research Center, within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of present Order on the Official Website of the High Court of Bombay. The said statement is accepted as an undertaking given to this Court.

Subject to payment of the aforestated cost within a stipulated period, the period to comply with Order dated 7th October 2024 is extended by three weeks from the date of payment of cost to the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa's Advocate Academy & Research Center. 6.
